Description

good lord look at that horrendous mistake in January :iconkanjilikesdudesplz:

long description cuz I wanna talk a little, do read.. uvu

I had a ton of improvements this year round! This year is also the year I found my art style, god bless I feel so proud :'D
Also, I realise the colours in the first few months were... opaque? Not rly painted on well? idk but it looks block-y and messy.
Then around mid-year I kept recycling the same right-hand-up-to-the-face pose with different finger signs... I also notice the lack in backgrounds-- just being plain white paper. I think that's what ppl call the fear of trying something new? Playing it safe? Something like that...
So by September I had that late realisation, thus trying out using pose references and putting more thought into the things I drew, which was a challenge during Goretober lol but it was refreshing to work the mind, thinking up of different poses and backgrounds. Which is also why I did the inking and colour palette things too! So I would get out of my comfort zone and try new things! :'D
I'm extremely aware that the necks I draw are long-- sometimes EXTREMELY long (i didnt realise it in Oct's art! ;o; ) which I think it's cuz of my position when i sit while drawing.. cuz i swear it looks normal from a slanted lower angle than when it's upstraight-- //shot-- I'll try sitting properly next time! xD
As of now, I've been practicing anatomy more- boobs included cuz i cant boob- so I'm so proud of my Seiko December art hhnghgnhh ;u;;;

For next year, I wanna try out drawing landscapes and more backgrounds with characters in it, fullbody characters, male with muscles and poses. I'm know of my lack of courage so I wanna improve myself in that aspect! I believe pushing myself into trying new things would help me improve more!

Is there any other things I should work on for next year?? Do tell me!
I havent been getting much suggestions this year, maybe cuz some artists on dA dont rly appreciate constructive critisism? But I'm an open person so just shoot! :D

I had a break from Oct - Dec so I had free time to try learning Blender, Japanese and anatomy, tho I slack a lot so it's not much //shot
At on point there was a lot of personal heat with 'friends' and family issues so I wasnt very active in messaging/chatting/replying to people. I'm so sorry if I didnt seem so lively as I usually am! ;o;;

I also wanna thank everyone for cheering me on and to the new watchers as well! I wanna make a 'thank you' art like I always do...but I might post that for New Years in a few more days :D

On a more serious note:
There has been a tremendous amelioration in your artwork over the course of this year (went through your gallery, if you don't mind)
and I'm glad to say that I am really proud of you & your effort. Considering that you are one of the many graphic artists that has the talent to draw without limits, to pursue beyond the common boundary and to surpass all else without being dismissive.

I don't believe when people say that, "you are blessed with talent" or something along the lines of that, because we are all born from the start without anything, no talent, no voice, nothing. We are all basically zero when we start off but, we can decide the roads that we want to take.  The high road, the middle road or the low road will all have different outcomes. I know that you worked your butt off to be where you are here today and you've probably met a bunch off obstacles on your way but, you manage to stay determined, you manage to pursue the unpursuable and you should be proud of that.

I'm surprised why you don't have a core membership. There're many people out there (such as you) who deserve one and there are people out there who receives it even though they didn't attempt to improve or put any sort of effort into their artwork. Believe me there're some people out there who are in denial, saying that "Oh, you're criticizing me? This is my art style and  preferably this is the way I would draw and if you don't like it, get lost punk!" or they attempt to sugarcoat their flaws or errors when others point them out. Its basically fighting fire with fire, its useless and the tension only grows when the individual is more egotistic or obstinate.

On the other hand, I'm still  *ahem* an amateur, a newbie, a protege or however you want to put it and I'm looking new ways to improve. If you have any tips you would like to share with me, don't be afraid to tell em up-front. Don't worry I won't bite :D
